After Democrats spent two years raising taxes by $10 billion, spending a historic $18 billion surplus, and growing government by 40%, House Republicans delivered a deal to reverse some of that damage.

Last session, House Republicans secured real wins for Minnesotans, including the largest cut in government spending in state history, no cuts to non-public school aid, near-total repeal of taxpayer-funded health insurance for illegal immigrants, and ensuring not a single Minnesota family saw a tax increase under our budget.

This session, we built on those wins:

• Stopped billions in new Democrat-proposed tax increases, while delivering $125 million in property tax relief and $250 million in vehicle registration fee reductions (car tabs).

• Delivered tax conformity that helps Minnesota businesses, including hundreds of millions in business relief at zero cost to the state.

• Secured the creation of an uncompensated care fund, along with access to a newly created hospital stabilization fund, ensuring hospitals across Minnesota receive needed relief.

• Increased Medical Assistance rates for rural and critical access hospitals, strengthening access to care for Minnesotans across Greater Minnesota.

• Made major investments in county IT modernization, helping local governments deliver services more efficiently, more accurately, and with stronger accountability.

• Delivered school safety measures, including funding for anonymous threat reporting systems, school-linked mental health services, and mobile crisis response teams.

• Approved $1.2 billion in statewide infrastructure funding, supporting roads, bridges, and water infrastructure across Minnesota.
